TOUGH tackling centre half Chris Lucketti has signed for Preston in a £750,000 four-year deal.
The 29-year-old defender has been snapped up by North End boss David Moyes from Huddersfield and the Deepdale boss has high hopes for his new charge.
"Chris is a born leader. He has been captain at every club he has been at and I expect him to do a good job for us," said the manager.
"Centre half is a position where you improve with years and I think we are going to get the benefit of Chris's best years."
ROB Edwards is expected to be back in the reckoning for Saturday's visit of Grimsby Town but Paul McKenna is doubftful with an ankle injury.
Michael Keane could be in line for a call up after his star show against Kidderminster.
