ROVERS winger Keith Gillespie is currently in the best form of his Rovers career after starting the new Premiership campaign with a bang.
So Ewood chief Graeme Souness will again be looking to him and Damien Duff to provide the ammunition for strikers Matt Jansen and Ciccio Grabbi to shoot down Spurs at Ewood tomorrow.
But his opposite number Glenn Hoddle has also been busy bolstering his own creative midfield resources over the summer, after luring the vastly experienced Gustavo Poyet away from London rivals Chelsea.
And, with both sides eager to chalk up their first victories of the season, the key to success could well come down to who conjurs up the best service from midfield for their frontmen.
Gillespie is more of an assist man than an out-and-out goalscorer with his strike in the 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Wednesday being only his second since Souness arrived 17 months ago.
Poyet, however, likes to arrive late in the box -- whether he's playing on the right or in the centre -- and his strike-ratio compares favourably with some of the best goalscoring midfielders in the world.
