BOTH teams from Newton Hall Swimming Club's Micro squads will compete in their respective finals at Lancaster in September.
The North West Micro League consists of young swimmers aged 9-12 and is the first step to competitive swimming.
In Division 'A', Newton Hall came out on top just pipping Fleetwood 'A' by seven gala points with Leyland 'A' 19 points behind.
Newton Hall 'B' squad came second in Division 'C' behind Southport, with both teams in a promotion/relegation swim-off against Clitheroe and Fleetwood Dolphins, who came sixth and seventh repectively in Division 'B'.
For the championship at Lancaster, Newton Hall will swim against Fleetwood, Leyland and Preston with the winner going on to represent the region in the Northern finals later in the year.
