BURNLEY'S assistant manager Sam Ellis is backing the Clarets to overcome their midweek setback quickly.
Beaten 3-2 by Football League newcomers Rushden and Diamonds in the Worthington Cup's first round at Turf Moor, Ellis was sure that the side could recapture their League form as they take on Millwall tomorrow.
"We have done it before so we can do it again," said Ellis.
"Obviously we are out of the cup and we are disappointed by that.
"We weren't unlucky, we were beaten by the better team on the night and let in three goals.
"But even then you have to learn from every game and we hope that we will take something from that into our next game.
"Certainly we were down, but the fact remains that each new game is there to be won.
"We have done well in the League so far and, while Tuesday night was a hiccup, we will be looking to do well again."
However, he accepted that, as they face a newly promoted team for the second time time in a week, it was going to be tough.
"While the ground is not as intimidating as the old one at Cold Blow Lane, it is a difficult ground to go to," said Ellis.
"But they have scored four goals at home and then conceded four away. It's hard to tell at this time of the season."
