A PLEA for the return of important work documents stolen from her car has been made by an East Lancashire woman Gillian Lingard.
Gillian is marketing officer and events co-ordinator at the Asda store in Burnley.
After visiting a very sick relative in hospital she left her briefcase in her car outside her home in Lionel Street.
Between 1and 6am yesterday someone smashed two windows in the vehicle and stole the large, black, leather case.
Gillian said: "It contained a number of items but I am appealing for the return of the Asda documents which are very important to me.
"They are of no benefit to the thief who may have dumped them.
"I would ask for anyone who finds the documents which are clearly marked to contact me at Asda in Burnley on 01282 450033 or contact the police at Burnley on 01282 425001."
