MORE than 20 representatives from community organisations attended the first meeting for the Accrington, Church and Great Harwood Partnership.
The community forum was held at Accrington Town Hall to see whether or not people were interested in having such a group to act as a sounding board on service providers effecting Hyndburn residents.
County Coun Jean Battle, Chair of the ACG Partnership, said: "It was gratifying to note that everyone agreed a community forum is needed to enable the ACG Partnership to carry forward the work of Lancashire County Council's Building Better Communities initiative.
"It is vital that members of the local community come along and get involved so that The Partnership can respond to their needs."
The meeting also saw the launch of the ACG Partnerships's new information leaflet which outlines its work and can be collected from community venues across Hyndburn.
The next meeting for Hyndburn residents will be held in Friar Court, Burnley Road, Accrington next month. For more information contact partnership manager Ros Robson on 01254 385522.
