A PERVERT who has been indecently exposing himself to women is believed to have struck twice in two days in Nelson.
Police have confirmed they are linking the two incidents, in which a man described as Asian, in his early 20s and speaking good English, confronted women in the south of Nelson.
The latest incident occurred on Friday, between 6.15 and 6.30pm, in the rear garden of a house in Bradshaw Street.
DS Mick Collins, of Nelson CID, said: "A lady in her 70s went to her back door because she had heard knocking. She opened it but, fortunately, she had left the chain on and the man was standing there.
"He was asking to be let in to the house and when she wouldn't let him in he exposed himself to her. He remained there shouting to be let in for about 15 to 20 minutes before he went away.
"These are single-storey buildings that house old age pensioners, so it loooks like he has targeted them on purpose."
The man was described as between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins, with a medium to dark complexion, with short black curly hair, no facial hair or scars and spoke quietly. He was wearing a navy blue top and navy blue or dark-coloured trousers.
In the first incident, on Thursday, between noon and 12.20pm, a 39-year-old woman was walking her dog through Walverden Park when she was approached by a man.
