PADIHAM finally got off the mark in goals and points but it was a tough encounter against last season's strugglers Oldham.
Ian Pilkington gave the Storks a 27th minute lead before Town equalised through an own goal on 38 minute.
Andy McCluskey thought he had done the business after the break, firing Padiham ahead in the 48th minute but just a minute later Klem Hamed popped up with another equaliser.
But it was Pilkington, who netted 12 times last season, who finally got some points on the board for Padiham with a late goal on 77 minutes.
