BOLTON'S wonderful start to life back in the Premier League will be put into focus tonight when they face their biggest test of season to date.
Sam Allardyce's men are due to entertain Liverpool in tonight live TV game at the Reebok with the Bolton boss facing an unexpected selection dilemma.
Forced to go into last week's opener at Leicester without the likes of Gareth Farrelly, Djibril Diawara, Colin Hendry, and Akinori Nishizawa because of injury Bolton have still managed two wins out of two.
All but Hendry are fit again but whether Allardyce changes a winning formula remains to be seen.
He reckons he won't be afraid to if he feels the team will benefit.
"I've already played the same team twice which is probably unusual these days because it's all about squads now," said Allardyce.
"I accept that but players don't - that's when your man management comes into play."
After watching Liverpool collect the European Super Cup against Bayern Munich on Friday night Allardyce knows it will be a testing night for his side -whoever he turns to. "Playing Liverpool is the toughest game we could have at this stage in the season," he says.
"They are in the groove. They started playing before most other teams this season and I think that's been a great advantage to them.
Having six points already in the bag gives Bolton a little big of breathing space.
Allardyce says: "It wont be the end of the world if we don't get anything out of our next two games. We have played well so far this season, but against Liverpool we know we are going to have to play even better.
"At the moment the players are still learning what the Premiership is all about.
"But I was pleased against Middlesbrough that both they and the crowd were patient and in the end we picked them off."
Wanderers will choose from: Jaaskelainen, Barness, Bergsson, Whitlow, Charlton, Gardner, Nolan, Warhurst, Frandsen, Hansen, Ricketts, Pedersen, Southall, Marshall, Holdsworth, Nishizawa, Hendry, Diawara, Farrelly, Banks.
