What next after GCSEs
FOR hundreds of youngsters awaiting GCSE results this month across East Lancashire the calendar did not go beyond the morning of August 23.
But life does go on, so what next?
The results are the first major stepping stone which will determine the next educational, training or career opportunities.
So if things did not turn out as well as expected it can seem disheartening. It doesn't need to be.
Once you know the results you might need to rethink the best way forward for your son or daughter. In East Lancashire there are places to go for advice and support if you need it.
Teachers and tutors will be on hand at schools and colleges, but if you're not able to speak to someone there, the East Lancashire Careers Service will be offering help. You can contact them on the following numbers:
