ORGANISERS of this year's Briercliffe Annual Flower Show say it was the best one yet.
Every category from vegetables to flowers received entries and even the local children put on a good show.
Briercliffe Society and the Briercliffe Allotments and Gardens Society committee member Dorothy Cottam said: "There was a very good attendance. More people than ever before came to see the show which is good because it is an event by the village for the village.
"A lot of work goes in to it so when everyone turns up ans upports us it makes it all seem worthwhile.
"There was a wonderful assortment of fruit and vegetable and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous. The children's section was well supported as well and every child got a small prize."
