PEOPLE of all ages will be invited to join in the Parish Mission Week at St Luke's, Brierfield, next month.
The event, which will run from Friday, September 21, to Sunday 23, is aimed at bringing people closer together and closer to the church. It will include a two-hour fun creative Christianity session aimed at women on the Saturday afternoon, where different faiths will be explored.
Children between the ages of five and nine years will be able to attend the Explorers Club in the church hall on Saturday morning and there will also be a chance for members of the congregation to renew their Baptismal promises at a special service on Sunday morning.
Members of St Luke's who cannot now get to church without assistance will be provided with transport to an afternoon tea session on Sunday afternoon.
This will be followed by a Songs of Praise where people will be asked to say something about their favourite hymn.
