BURY Market's offices were heavily smoke-logged after a Bank Holiday Monday arson attack.
The blaze involved two large wheelie bins which were set ablaze outside the Murray Road premises at 6am.
Flames and intense heat from one of the containers destroyed a service door and allowed smoke to percolate inside the offices.
The keyholder was called out to give access to firefighters. Two crews spent 45 minutes at the scene ventilating the smoke-filled offices.
Workmen were also called out to inspect gas and electricity connections which were located behind the service door.
