PADIHAM came out on top in the NWCL Division Two local derby against Darwen at the Arbories.
Substitute Lee Chambers, with only his second touch of the ball, crashed in a dramatic late winner to give the home side a six-point haul from their Bank Holiday weekend games.
In a frantic start to the match Darwen looked the more dangerous of the two sides and had a number of chances to take the lead before Padiham's Dean Stowe, on the break, escaped his markers to score the opening goal after 17 minutes.
Paul Baker headed Darwen level nine minutes into the second half but within two minutes the Storks were back in front when Ian Pilkington headed in a superb cross from Stowe.
Denny Khan levelled things at 2-2 in the 86th minute to give Darwen some hope of getting at least a point but Chambers secured the win for the Storks.
RESULT: PADIHAM 3 DARWEN 2
