DANIEL Lee Fox, 23, drove to a friend's house after his girlfriend ordered him out following a row.
Blackburn magistrates heard that the friend was not in and Fox was breathalysed as he drove back to his home in Staffa Crescent.
Fox, 23, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He was disqualified from driving for two years and fined a total of £400 with £55 costs.
Fox, who gave a reading of 100 against the legal limit of 35, agreed to be referred to the drink drivers' rehabilitation programme, which if it is completed successfully will reduce his ban by up to 25 per cent.
