REGARDING your article (LET, August 20), we don't want a pub in the middle of one of Accrington's main shopping streets.
There are too many outlets for alcohol in the immediate area as it is and we have had too much trouble with 'winos' in the town centre.
The last time this subject was brought up, about a year or so ago, the people of Accrington were not at all impressed with the idea.
