LITTLE clowns and jugglers took part in a circus school this week as part of a series of summer activities.
The Greater Deepdale summer splash, which runs until Friday, August 31, is devoted to giving children something different to do before they go back to school.
It is open to youngsters aged 11 to 16 from the town's Central, Deepdale, Moor Park, St Matthews and Fishwick wards.
The week's programme of events includes circus schools, taught by the Physical Performing Arts in Preston group; dancing classes; DJ lessons; a trip to Blackpool Tower; and football coaching from PNE in Deepdale.
Kashmere Shokar of the Greater Deepdale Partnership said: "We got the funding from the home office to redevelop Deepdale, and these activities are part of that scheme.
"We are hoping to make these events an annual thing, and looking at running an event in National Youth Week in October."
