LANCASHIRE junior and youth rugby league teams join the World Class Development Programme this weekend with representative games being held at noon in the New Preston Sports Arena, Tom Benson Way, on Saturday, September 1.
Lancashire Service Area take on Rochdale Service Area at U12, 14 and 16 at home in Preston while the U13 and 15 teams travel to Firgrove playing fields in Rochdale.
For the very first time teams have been selected from clubs and school throughout Lancashire from Blackpool, Blackburn, West Craven, Pendle, Accrington, Preston, Leyland, Bamber Bridge, Chorley, Heysham and Carnforth.
Further fixtures have been arranged against Rochdale and the South Yorkshire Service Area for all age groups from U12 to U18 to be played at home and away during September, October and November.
Players will then be selected from these teams to attend Regional Training Camps with top players going through to National Camps at each age group.
