BAMBER Bridge took their first point of the campaign at Barrow.
The home side started well and put Brig under some intense pressure with good moves from midfield feeding their impressive strike force.
But Brig were constantly alert to the danger and successfully managed to break down attack after attack.
Indeed right on the stroke of half-time it could have very easily been Brig who went in a goal up. Robinson had two shots from inside the area, but failed to force the net to bulge.
Barrow started the second half again with wave after wave of attacks. In didn't seem long until the Brig defence would falter, and Barrow took the lead on 58 minutes through a Mark Hume header.
More pressure followed from Barrow as the attempted to put some distance between the teams, but spirited Brig refused to lie down.
Sixteen minutes later they levelled through a rasping Steve Aspinall free-kick.
It was a second Aspinall free-kick that could have settled the game in Brig's favour, but his late effort from 30 yards sailed over.
RESULT: Barrow 1 Bamber Bridge 1
