A JUDGE who made two girls wards of court after they were taken to Jordan by their father is to write another letter to government bosses in the Middle East -- after they ignored the last two.
Now, distraught mother Josephine Bromley has claimed she cannot go on now she does not know how to get her children back.
She spoke out as family Judge David Gee recalled them to court -- less than a month after making Noor Al Momani, seven, and her sister Sam, 10, wards of court -- to tell them he had received no response from the Jordanian Government.
Miss Bromley, who attended court with her partner Paul Tomlinson yesterday, said she was told by Judge Gee that no response to letters sent by him to Jordanian government officals announcing the court order had been made.
Miss Bromley, of Lower Darwen, said: "He said he would write to them again asking them to reply, but I don't know if they will.
"He also said sending this to the high court in London was not necessarily a good move, because it wouldn't mean very much.
"Everything now rests with Jack Straw, because he can put on diplomatic pressure.
"The police aren't getting any response from Jordan, neither is the court and all we get when we try to ring the girls on their mobile number is an answerphone."
Initially, the girl's father, Jehad Al Momani, of Station Road, Great Harwood, was believed to be returning the girls in time for the start of school term -- next week.
Mr Tomlinson said: "We know he is keeping a track of what has been written about the case and we want him to know that, at the moment, we would be happy just to talk to the girls.
"Having no contact with them at all is awful."
Miss Bromley added: "My eldest daughter, Emma, tried ringing and pleaded on the answerphone to be able to talk to her sisters.
"They must be picking up the messages but nothing is being done about them.
The couple will meet again with Jack Straw at the end of September.
As he is the Foreign Secretary as well as a local MP, they hope he will be able to get the girls back.
Miss Bromley said Judge Gee promised to recall the couple if he received a response and would take any action deemed helpful by Mr Straw.
