COLNE player-boss John Lister pointed the finger at himself after his side were held to a goalless draw at home to Blackpool Mechanics last night.
"It was a game we should have won without a doubt," said a disappointed Lister.
"We had the chances, in fact, I missed the best one.
"I was just six yards out when the ball came to me but I didn't connect properly and screwed my shot wide."
James Webster and Chris Ingham dominated the midfield battle for Colne, while the defence was solid throughout.
But the home side lacked the killer punch in front of goal.
"We need a 20 goal a season man," added Lister.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men late in the game when a Webster foul brought about an attempted head butt from a Blackpool player.
But though Colne laid siege to the Blackpool goal they couldn't find a way through.
RESULT: COLNE...0 BLACKPOOL MECH...0
