A RADCLIFFE pensioner was left badly shaken after falling prey to a sneak-in thief.
The man entered her home in Radcliffe Moor Road via an unlocked kitchen door.
When he was confronted by the 78-year-old woman, he told her there was an ambulance awaiting her outside.
While she was distracted, the man stole her purse containing a small amount of cash. He is only described as being a white male, aged in his 30s.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at 6pm on Tuesday (Aug 28), is asked to ring Whitefield CID on 856 8240.
