THREE teenagers were arrested minutes after a hi-jacked car went out of control and crashed in Prestwich.
The juveniles scrambled from the overturned Peugeot but were detained by police officers after a short chase.
They were treated for minor injuries at North Manchester General Hospital following the drama which happened at 8pm on Tuesday (Aug 28).
Detective Sergeant Duncan Heywood of Bury operational police unit said: "Two men were sitting in the vehicle in Butterstile Lane when they were approached by three shaven-headed teenagers who pulled them out of the car.
"The three, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old, jumped into the Peugeot and drove off along Butterstile Lane."
However, the car lost control, collided with a parked Daewoo vehicle and overturned before hitting a lamp post.
The teenagers then ran off but were detained nearby by officers before being treated in hospital.
Later, they were interviewed by officers and charged. They are due to appear before Bury magistrates on September 20.
