BLACKPOOL bounced back from Saturday's mauling at Darwen to beat Fleetwood on Monday by four wickets.
Having chosen to bat at Stanley Park, Fleetwood were reduced to 35 for three at one stage before professional Craig Pryor (50) and John Wright (45) staged a recovery. But the innings closed at 174-8 with Marcus Sharp claiming four wickets for 55 runs. Blackpool's innings wasn't without its alarms but they eventually reached 177-6 thanks to 50 from Mark Lomas and an unbeaten 65 by England Under-17 player Steven Croft.
ST ANNES had a surprisingly easy victory at Preston on Monday when the home side were reduced to 22 for eight before a last-wicket stand took them to 47 all out after 25.3 overs.
Joe Davies took six wickets for 22 runs and pro Dave Callaghan finished with three for 22.
St. Annes lost two wickets in passing the target in 22.5 overs, and the whole game lasted less than four hours!
