AS the leadership election enters a crucial stage, it is vital that the Conservative Party elects a leader of principle who can unite the Party.
We are of the opinion that this can only be achieved by electing Iain Duncan Smith.
Mr Duncan Smith is a man of integrity, courage, conviction and honesty. He is principled and has experience of the world outside Westminster.
Iain is the only candidate who will not split the party on Europe. His views on Europe and the Euro are in line with the vast majority of party members, MPs and the electorate.
Precisely because Iain can unite the party, he will be able to broaden our agenda and allow Conservatives to be heard when we address the questions which worry people most. Iain will be able to reconnect with a disillusioned electorate with his straightforward approach to issues.
Iain Duncan Smith is the candidate who can lead us to victory at the next General Election. We therefore urge all Conservative Party members in the North West to stick by their principles and vote for him.
