I TOTALLY agree with N. Jones regarding the lack of manners shown by some pensioner bus users. But of course, there is another side to it.
I find, since retirement, that it is the young nd particularly school children who push onto buses ahead of people waiting in the queue. I feel that it is up to the driver to tell them to wait until those properly queuing have boarded the bus.
Also, Clippercards were issued with the intention of speeding the entry of passengers onto the bus ahead of those paying cash to the driver. This was to enable timetables to be adhered to.
Some older people who choose to sit down and wait for the bus also seem to be under the impression that they have a right to board ahead of those standing in the queue. If they choose to sit down and wait then they should join the end of the queue.
Maybe we could do with another war to teach the young and their parents how to queue and so ensure equality for all.
