THE champagne is on ice ready for celebrations at a top East Lancashire restaurant which has been short-listed for one of Europe's most coveted wine trophies.
Northcote Manor, Langho, will feature in the final judging for the Champagne Gosset award which looks for the restaurant that offers the best range and quality of champagne and promotes it in a positive way.
Established in 1983, Northcote Manor is owned and run by joint proprietors Nigel Haworth and Craig Bancroft.
The restaurant boasts a 400-bin wine cellar.
The Champagne Gosset contest has been whittled down to a shortlist of 15 throughout the UK and the winning restaurant will be presented with the trophy at the Dorchester in London.
