AN argument with a friend who made advances to his girlfriend led to Lee Innes losing his temper and lashing out at a parked car.
Blackburn magistrates heard the incident was captured on closed circuit TV and the officer monitoring the incident in Market Street arrested Innes at the scene.
Innes, 24, of Calder Avenue, Darwen, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Market Street and damaging a wing mirror and window of a car belonging to Arwal Ali. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £65 costs.
Jonathon Taylor, defending, said: "My client lost his temper and lashed out at the first thing he came to which, unfortunately, was this car," said Mr Taylor.
