A POPULAR beauty spot in Ramsbottom is due for an upgrade soon. The site at Kay Brow Lodge, a haven for local wildlife, is giving cause for concern.
A number of local residents have complained about the state of the site and council officers are due to make recommendations soon after the issue was taken up by a local councillor.
The water supply to the lodge is no longer free flowing and the water is stagnant.
The lodge area has picnic tables, benches and areas where people feed the ducks.
Coun Barry Theckston contacted Bury Council to see if something could be done to improve the situation.
He said: "It is a pity the lodge is in such a state. I hope the inspectors come up with a suitable solution to ensure the future of this local beauty spot."
