TWO teenage brothers were taken to hospital after being attacked in the street early today.
The victims were walking home along Brook Street, Bury, just after midnight when they were approached by two youths, aged around 15-16, on cycles.
A fight started and the brothers were punched and kicked. One of the brothers was head-butted and banged his head when he fell to the ground.
The other brother was also viciously assaulted and knocked to the ground during the attack.
As they lay on the floor the brothers were repeatedly punched and kicked.
Both were taken to Bury General Hospital for treatment.
The brother who cracked his head on the ground suffered a broken nose and bruising to his body.
The other victim was released after being treated for bruising and rib injuries.
Detectives were investigating the incident.
