A WOMAN was pushed into bushes and sexually assaulting in an early morning attack in Burnley.
The 36-year-old victim was making her way home from a night out when she was assaulted.
The attack happened at 2.15am yesterday in Harold Street.
Det Sgt Peter Simm said the woman was walking along the street when she heard footsteps behind her.
She was then grabbed from behind and indecently assaulted.
As she struggled she was pushed into some bushes. The offender ran off.
Det Sgt Simm said the woman was frightened and shaken but unhurt.
She went to a friend's house nearby and called the police.
The attacker is described as white, about 25 years, 5ft 5ins tall, medium build with dark, curly collar-length hair and a dark whispy beard.
He was wearing jeans and a denim jacket.
