A PRODUCTION line for IT boffins has been given a welcome boost thanks to a leading East Lancashire company.
Burnley-based P3 Computers have completed a sponsorship deal for a training package which aims to give firms their own in-house computer experts.
The course is being run by Nelson's Northern Technologies and all the PCs they use in their practical demonstrations were supplied by P3.
"The training is aimed at members of the public and businesses and give people a grounding in IT," explained Richard Crabtree, an ICT Support Engineer at Northern Technologies business support arm.
The IT Systems Support Technician course is a distance learning package but on a weekly basis we bring people here and give them practical work on PCs.
The aim is to develop a first line of IT support for companies who can work in house, thus saving companies money.
