ROSSENDALE cruised into the first qualifying round of the FA Cup thanks to a comprehensive victory over NCEL Premier Division side Garforth Town.
Dale were too strong for their lower league opposition and it took just ten minutes for them to get going.
Steve Cunningham had the first effort - driving over from the edge of the box after a fine run.
The opening goal came in the 31st minute, Cunningham's deep cross from the right was met on the volley by Mark Patterson who made it two goals in two games.
Just two minutes later Jason Heffernam doubled Dale's tally. Gareth Gardiner supplying the cross which Heffernan finished off his knee.
The third came on the stroke of half time.
Steve Bird received a quickly taken free kick on the edge of the box and the shot took a deflection which gave the keeper no chance.
Gardiner had two good attempts to increase the tally after the break but it was United keeper Mark Andrews who was next in action - his first real action of the match - denying Fox in the 63rd minute.
The fourth goal arrived on 68 minutes, a super move put Craig Sargeson through and he fed Denning who tucked the ball into the bottom corner.
