VISITORS to the Lancashire County Council marquee at this year's Royal Lancashire Show were invited to win a prize in the word-search competition.
The competition was a joint venture between two of the services that form part of the lifelong learning division - the adult and continuing education service and the museums service.
Participants had to identify the names of museums and the three adult colleges: Lancashire College, Alston Hall, the Adult College, Lancaster. Each of the adult colleges donated vouchers to be redeemed against any of their courses. The three lucky winners were selected by a visitor to the Lancashire County Council marquee on the last day of the show: Ken Dandy of St James Close, Lostock Hall, Mrs S Beeber of Church Road, Bickerstaffe, and Karl Turner of Landsmoor Drive, Longton.
The adult colleges provide a wide range of courses for all areas of the county. Course brochures can be obtained from: the Adult College, Lancaster, 01524 60141; Alston Hall College, Longridge, 01772 784661; Lancashire College, Chorley. 01257 276719.
