CHILDREN from years three and six at St John's RC Junior School in Burnley learned vital road safety lessons.
Road safety advisor Keith Fothergill ran the courses to teach the children the cycling awareness course.
Headteacher Kieran Heakin said: "We hold the safe cycling course each year for the year three new juniors and a full day's training for year six top juniors.
"They were taught about the basics in safety, checking brakes and tyres, through to the most important thing which is always to check behind before setting off and stopping. They were also shown how to properly turn left and right and indicate."
