CHILDREN in Barnoldswick have been spending their summer holidays preparing for their town's postponed midsummer celebrations.
Groups of youngsters have been working with local artist Joy Evans, to produce colourful flags which will decorate the town square and surrounding buildings as part of the Barnoldswick Bugs event.
It was originally intended to be held in June, but was postponed due to the foot and mouth crisis.
The Bugs event and community arts day will now take place on Saturday, September 22.
