THE Moores will be a family at war when Rotherham travel to Burnley on Saturday.
Millers boss Ronnie Moore will be pitting his wits against son Ian, the Clarets striker, and he is on unfamiliar ground.
"It is going to be strange without a doubt," said Moore senior.
"It is the first time it has happened and it will be the first time I have gone to a game not wanting him to score.
"It will be even stranger for my wife in the director's box, but I think she knows which side her bread is buttered, so she will be wanting a Rotherham win with Ian scoring for Burnley."
Moore senior bagged 157 League goals in a career that saw him serve five clubs, most notably Tranmere and his present club Rotherham, and his record gives Ian plenty to live up to.
However, Ronnie believes that his 25-year-old son is going to be a handful for his defenders on Saturday.
"His game is all about his pace and enthusiasm," said the Millers boss. "He works well off a big man and I think he has got a good partnership growing with Gareth Taylor."
Taylor will tonight be hoping to be included in Welsh manager Mark Hughes plans as they take on Norway in Oslo in their Group Five World Cup qualifying clash. The Clarets striker is seeking his ninth Dragons cap.
And another Burnley front-runner, Dimitrios Papadopoulos was part of the Greek under-21 squad who won 3-0 in Finland last night.
The Greeks' success sees them top Group Nine in the UEFA Championship qualifiers, they lead England, who beat Albania 5-0 last night, by two points and the issue will be resolved in the final match at Blackburn Rovers' Ewood Park on Friday, October 5.
Rumours persist that Sunderland are to make an offer to the Clarets for winger Glen Little, but the Black Cats are denying any move has been made.
Sunderland boss Peter Reid had linked with Little for a while and, with a possible move for West Ham's Trevor Sinclair seemingly going nowhere and another target Millwall's Australian international Lucas Neill now on trial with Blackburn Rovers, speculation has got warmer.
Reid has around £5.5million to spend after the sale of Don Hutchison to West Ham.
Clarets defender Mitchell Thomas was set to return to action tonight in the Avon Insurance League Premier Division clash with Tranmere Rovers.
