A SPECIAL wildlife trail has been opened at Sunnyhurst Wood and Visitor Centre, Earnsdale Road, Darwen.
The Herbert Parkinson wildlife trail is created in the beautiful woodland and is a mile-and-a-half long -- suitable for a family outing with children of all ages.
At the start of the trail wildlife hunters will be given a notebook to mark off what they have seen while out in the woods.
There are also stone carvings which can be checked off in the book.
The trail is free for anybody who wants to take part and the centre is open every day, except Monday between 1pm and 4.30pm.
For more information contact the centre on 01254 701545.
