A FORMER working men's club in Waterfoot has been transformed into a new dance and drama studio.
The business had been running above Cloughfold Conservative Club for 20 years, but had outgrown its premises.
Although the Cloughfold base is being retained for classes and rehearsals, Rossendale Dance and Drama Studio is now based in the former Well Street Working Men's Club in Bridleway.
An open day was held when clients and potential new customers popped in to have a look around.
Alison Marlow, a partner in the business with husband Chris, said: "We have put a lot of hard work into upgrading the property. We have two studios with changing facilities, a reception area and bar and space for functions and parties."
The new studio will provide classes for adults and children in ballet, tap, drama, singing, disco, ballroom, Latin and salsa. There will also be 'boys only' classes.
One of the school's stars, seven-year-old Rebecca Jackson, from Rawtenstall, has just been accepted for the second year to dance with the National Youth Ballet and will be performing with the Midlands and Southern casts in two productions.
