A BLACKBURN businessman has been disqualified from being a company director for five years.
Michael James Ellis, of Mellor, was the director of the Reef Clothing Company, which had shops on King William Street, Blackburn and in Blackpool.
In June 1999 it went into liquidation with liabilities of £164,570 and an estimated deficiency of £207,818.
The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry accepted the disqualification.
The disqualification means Mr Ellis can not be the director of a company in any way, whether directly or indirectly, or take part in the promotion or formation of any company for five years.
