CHADDERTON blitzed Colne with a seven goal thrashing in the North West Counties Division Two clash last night.
Two men, Chris Barlow and Colin Bennett, did the damage which ripped Colne apart, leaving Colne player-manager John Lister wringing his hands in despair.
Barlow set the tone with a strike after just 23 seconds. He notched another on 28 minutes, giving the home side a two-goal advantage at the break.
Colne had no answer to Chadderton's fire-power as they hit five more without reply. Bennett opened his tally on 51 minutes, collecting another in the 66th minute.
Before Lister could marshal his dejected troops, Barlow completed his hat-trick two minutes later.
Chadderton maintained their relentless pressure and Bennett grabbed a further brace in a sparkling spell, hitting home in 79 and 81 minutes.
RESULT: CHADDERTON...7 COLNE...0
