YOUNG lasses at Burnley Youth Theatre are in need of some new men!
They don't have to be tall, dark and handsome, but they will preferably be aged between 10 and 15 and be enthusiastic, committed and have a bit of talent in performing arts.
Burnley Youth Theatre has just held the first set of auditions for their performance of Joby.
The turnout was fantastic with more than 20 talented young people hoping for a part, but there was only one thing missing -- boys!
There are a number of different male characters in the play, including Joby himself.
Joby is set in a small mining and textile town in Yorkshire. Through the events of the summer holiday of 1939 and the outbreak of World War 2, the tale unfolds through a child's eye view of a confusing and often paradoxical world.
The piece will be directed by Anthony Preston and it will be staged from November 28 to December 1.
Any young men wanting to audition can call in at the theatre on Sunday from 1pm to 3.30pm. Auditions cost £1.
