REGARDING the article about noise nuisance from the outdoor stages (LET, August 28), as a Colne Blues Festival-goer for the past 10 years, I say get rid of them. They are not appreciated by the real blues fans who are usually in the Muni or the leisure centre.
The outdoor stages are simply an attraction to street drinkers.
These are the people who will ruin this great event.
The sooner the council passes a bylaw to prevent alcohol drinking on the street during the festival and stages the music indoors, the sooner all reasonable people will once again enjoy the Great British Rhythm and Blues festival.
