ROVERS boss Graeme Souness was today sweating on the fitness of his international players as he waits for their return following World Cup qualifying action last night.
In-form wing-man Keith Gillespie again played a starring role for Northern Ireland, setting up two goals in their 3-0 win over Iceland.
Berg also played a full 90 minutes for Norway as they beat Wales 3-2 in group five, for whom Nathan Blake came on as a late sub.
And Brad Friedel was in action for the United States against Costa Rica as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat in atrocious conditions in Central America, a result which leaves their chances of qualification hanging by a thread.
Early reports would suggest that all four players came through unscathed but Souness won't be able to relax until the quartet report back at Brockhall.
