A BREAKFAST conference discussing CCTV cameras will be held at Burnley Business Centre, Bank Parade.
Lancashire police will be among the agencies attending the conference on September 12 from 7.45am to 9.30am to give advice and answer questions.
The aim is to give local businesses an insight in the new data protection legislation surrounding CCTV systems and what they must do to comply as well as show company representatives some of the benefits of using cameras to combat crime.
Among the guest speakers will be crime prevention and architect liaison officer at Pennine division PC Dave Sykes.
He said: "CCTV can be a valuable weapon in the fight against crime.
"However in order to get the most out of your CCTV system it is important that you choose the right system and that the system is set up and maintained correctly so that it gives good, clear pictures.
"I will run through some of the key factors to consider when installing CCTV as well as what CCTV is capable of and how it can be purchased."
