THE Summer Show of the Lancaster and District Horticultural Society will be held at the Ashton Hall at Lancaster Town Hall .
A huge array of flowers and vegetables will be on show to the public from 1pm to 5pm, on Sunday (September 9).
Anyone can enter the many show classes and there are some superb prizes on offer.
There will also be a gift stall, floral arts exhibits, a raffle, refreshments and an auction at the end when you can bid for some of the floral and vegetable exhibits ( and get some great bargains).
The Lancaster and District Horticultural Society is one of the oldest societies in the area and it welcomes exhibitors of all ages.
This year for the first time the National Fuchsia Society has become affiliated to the show.
There are also classes for children, beginners and allotment holders.
The show secretary Paul Brown, said: "In this day and age as 'GM' crops and organically grown produce provide the topic for conversation, it is pleasing to see so many gardeners producing home-grown produce on allotments and in gardens and reaping the benefits of their hard labour."
Other categories of interest include floral art, pot plants, chrysanthemums, fuchsias, roses, dahlias.
There is still time to enter by contacting Gordon Western on 35170. Admission costs 50p and children get in free.
