ENFORCEMENT action may be taken to stop an area of land in White Lee Avenue, in Trawden, being used as a storage area for building materials.
A complaint was made to the council in April this year that although the building of the White Lee Estate had finished, building materials and equipment were still being stored at the top of the estate.
The owner of the site has been contacted on two occasions, but on the last inspection by the council new material appeared to have been left there.
Planning manager, Andy Wiggett, has recommended in a report to tonight's Colne and District Committee that the council's secretary and solicitor be authorised to take all necessary action in order to stop the use of the land as a builders storage yard.
Also, to remove all the materials and equipment and to tidy up the land to a standard which would not spoil the look of the area.
