ANDY Whittaker was on the scoresheet yet again for city, in a top of the table clash against Altrincham on Saturday.
Whittaker's goals come in all shapes and sizes, but his opener at Giant Axe on Saturday came right out of the top drawer.
His left footed 20 yard drive found the back of the net early on to give a largish home crowd something to celebrate.
City looked set for victory when Alty's Carl Furlong was sent off. However, the 10 men came back into the game and, with 13 minutes left on the clock, the equaliser finally came in bizarre fashion.
Thornley attempted to clear a Dean Martin backpass, but the ball rebounded against the legs of the onrushing Kevin Hulme to level the scores.
RESULT: Lancaster City 1, Altrincham 1
