NEARLY 600 pensioners enjoyed a night to remember at Bacup Leisure Hall, thanks to local Councillor Jimmy Eaton.
He organised two nights of fun with a free buffet and free raffle, with more than 100 prizes including 70 Christmas meals at the Rose 'n' Bowl in, Stacksteads, donated by Lords Caterers.
Coun Eaton, a postie in Bacup, said: "I would like to thank all the artists, Britannia Coconutters, the Second Rossendale Scout and Guide Band, Susan Grinrod, Sue McCaw School of Dancing, kitchen helpers and Fred Thomas, manager of the A, B and D Centre."
