FIFTEEN people were arrested early today as police from across the county swooped on suspected drug dealers for the second day running.
A total of 19 warrants were executed at addresses in the Blackburn area as part of Operation Hurricane, which police heralded as a bid to change the face of Blackburn forever.
All those arrested are to be questioned about suspected drug offences.
The operation is Lancashire's biggest anti-drugs crack-down for five years and is an integral part of the Blackburn and Darwen Residents Against Drugs scheme (BRAD) launched at the end of July.
In total 29 people have now been arrested and 14 have been charged with offences relating to supplying heroin and crack-cocaine.
They were due to appear at Blackburn Magistrates today. Two people have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The raids followed months of observations by officers to gather evidence and Detective Chief Inspector Steve Hartley, who is in charge of the operation, warned drug dealers their activities will not be tolerated.
He said: "We wanted to take positive action against those people believed to be dealing drugs in the area. We wanted to be pro-active and to do this we will continue to need support and information from the community.
"The operation so far has clearly demonstrated that if the public tell us what's going on we will listen and we will act.
"We will continue to target those people who deal in drugs. Their activities will not be tolerated by the police or the community."
